Fort William Henry Hotel & Conference Center + Historic Ft. William Henry

48 Canada Street, Lake George, NY 12845

The Fort William Henry Hotel & Conference Center is located on an 18-acre property in the heart of downtown Lake George, NY, just minutes off the Adirondack Northway (Route 87) and close to all major Lake George-area attractions.

The Hotel, which had been named the 2018 Best Hotel in Lake George by LakeGeorge.com, features some of the best and most expansive views of the lake itself and surrounding Adirondack Mountains.

Also on the hotel property is the historic Fort William Henry, which was built by Sir William Johnson in 1755 during the French & Indian War, but destroyed two years later and abandoned. The site, however, became a tourist destination in the 19th century, and, later, in the 1950’s, a replica of the fort was reconstructed on the same site as the original fort, which only took 40 days to build, but five years to replicate.

Today, Fort William Henry is operated as a living history museum.

Sweet Bee’s Honey Festival will take place outdoors on the hotel’s lawn overlooking the lake between the pool and historic Carriage House building. In the event of heavy rain or excessive heat, the festival will be moved indoors to the air-conditioned Carriage House.

Tickets to the Honey Festival include tastings & sales of local, regional and international honeys, as well as artisan foods and craft beverages, plus entertainment. Admission to the fort is also included at no extra charge (reg. $19.50/adult and $8/child ages 5-15), and extra re-enactors will be on-hand to enhance the guest experience.

Parking will be available onsite for an extra $10 fee and at nearby metered sites throughout the village. In addition, the festival is walkable from most area hotels and as is accessible from stops by the Lake George Trolley.
